Mark Taylor has been appointed as the Principal Consultant and Team Leader of the Aberdeen office of the independent and specialist risk management consulting firm, Risktec Solutions Ltd.  Specialising in the oil and gas sectors, Mark provides a range of management system and risk assessment services to clients, both in Scotland and internationally.

Mark has over 20 years experience in the oil and gas industry, with a background in managing complex R&D and engineering projects at British Gas.  He joins Risktec from Advantica, where his responsibilities included managing safety risk projects and developing business opportunities.  Mark has a BSc(Hons) in Chemical Engineering from University College London, has an MBA from Warwick University and is a Chartered Engineer.

Mark’s first project with Risktec has taken him to Trinidad for a major accident hazard management assessment of a jack up drilling rig.  His current projects in Aberdeen include safety case, hazard management strategy and performance standards development for North Sea fixed platforms and FPSOs.
